PCE newsletter 1/12

Spring seems to have started to come to Estonia and PCE is also starting with the new season. This year we have more events organized by the club and less from other parties. This mainly due to the fact that the Pärnu/Audru racetrack is still under construction. A preliminary calendar is added to the club homepage http://porsche-club.ee and we’ll keep updating it throughout the year.

Season opening 12.05 and closing 6.10

Season opening and closing events this year have a slightly different agenda – instead of the classic orienteering, we’ll have 2 cruising around Estonia (and maybe even our nearest neighboring countries) events. Both events will end with dinner and there will be no organized accommodation. Of course we’ll have some competitions during the dinners to gather points for the Open Cup series. The exact details we’ll send before each event, but you can add the dates to your calendars.

Everyone with a Porsche is welcome, so ask all of your Porsche friends to join.

Summer event 30.06 - 1.07

We have not forgotten people interested in our orienteering events and we’ll end the month of June with our classic format – orienteering race during the day, dinner/party in the evening and the prize ceremony in the next morning. We decided to move this event more into the summer – better weather and more driving fun. This also gives us a better chance to organize more exiting races and competitions. Event details will be shared when the time is right.

Porsche White Nights 28 - 29.07

One of the most exiting events during this season is the 3rd stage of the Porsche White Nights series, happening on 28th-29th of July in Rakvere. This time you can show off your driving skills in a ~2,5 km city circuit. People familiar with our Open Track events will know the timing system: no man-to-man race, you only race against the clock, but we think that a city circuit will be a new experience for a lot of people.

PWN is a series created by Porsche Classic Club Russland consisting of three separate events, of which the first two are held in Tampere, Finland (26-27.05) and Saint-Petersburg, Russia (15-16.06). All the fine details and the registration will be supplied shortly and we’ll let you know about it by email and on our homepage.

Hope to see you soon,
Margus Holland, Kristjan Pappa, Peep Pihotalo
